The Swiss salesman Hans Buser experienced at close quarters the politi­cal, social and economic ups and downs of a young Ghana in the period immediately following independence. His stories and reminiscences of those turbulent years between 1956 and 1965 are characterized by sharp observation, technical know-how, insight and humour.
